- Commercial Tobacco Sidekicks Training Manual – updated Fall 2023 (This manual was developed in collaboration with Wabanaki Public Health and Wellness. This has been amended from the original SideKicks material to be more culturally appropriate for youth who are members of Tribal communities and to distinguish commercial tobacco from traditional and sacred tobacco. (Any advisor who is not a member of one of the Tribes and/or staff with WPHW should reach out to CTI prior to using these materials.)

- Sidekicks Adult Advisor Database is a Statewide listing of all Adult Advisors/Master Trainers (and their service areas) available to provide/co-facilitate Sidekicks trainings in Maine; this list gets updated on a regular basis. If you need to reach out to a Sidekicks Adult Advisor to discuss training opportunities and/or collaboration ideas, please email Tobacco Prevention Services to request additional Adult Advisor contact information (not published publicly).

Supportive Materials
SIDEKICKS TRAINING VIDEOS: It is recommended that you utilize the YouTube videos during your trainings but you will need internet connection to do so. If you are facilitating a training and you know ahead of time that you will not have internet access, we recommend that you embed the specific videos (prior to your training) into the PPT. You may want to download the video files onto a thumb-drive as a back-up and bring that with you to your training as well.

- How to embed a video into a PPT:
1. Select “Video” in the menu bar (purple arrow)
2. Select “Insert Video from File” from dropdown
3. Insert file from your selected folder
4. Image of video will appear in PPT slide
5. During your training, you should be able to double-click the video image and it will play, as long as there is a compatible media player accessible to you on the computer you are using.

Welcome Packet Materials
The Youth and Adult Welcome Packets will be printed and created by MaineHealth Tobacco Prevention Services Team; if you have a training coming up and need Welcome Packets, please email Tobacco Prevention Services at least 2 weeks in advance of your training so that we can mail you the appropriate number of Youth Welcome Packets needed for your training. Please utilize the order form to request the materials through TobaccoPreventionServices@MaineHealth.org.
YOUTH WELCOME PACKET MATERIALS: The materials listed below are provided through the printed welcome packets. In March 2021, the Youth Welcome packet materials were updated. Additionally, the decision was made to move to one version of the welcome packet utilizing the commercial tobacco language.
