• Commercial Tobacco Sidekicks Training Manual – updated Fall 2023. This manual was developed in collaboration with Wabanaki Public Health and Wellness.  This has been amended from the original SideKicks material to be more culturally appropriate for youth who are members of Tribal communities and to distinguish commercial tobacco from traditional and sacred tobacco.  (Any advisor who is not a member of one of the Tribes and/or staff with WPHW should reach out to CTI prior to using these materials.)

Supportive Materials

SIDEKICKS TRAINING VIDEOS: It is recommended that you utilize the YouTube videos during your trainings but you will need internet connection to do so. If you are facilitating a training and you know ahead of time that you will not have internet access, we recommend that you embed the specific videos (prior to your training) into the PPT. You may want to download the video files onto a thumb-drive as a back-up and bring that with you to your training as well.

• How to embed a video into a PPT:
  1. Select “Video” in the menu bar (purple arrow)
  2. Select “Insert Video from File” from dropdown
  3. Insert file from your selected folder
  4. Image of video will appear in PPT slide
  5. During your training, you should be able to double-click the video image and it will play, as long as there is a compatible media player accessible to you on the computer you are using.
